Early voting in Georgia easily crossed the 1.5 million voter mark on Friday, the last day of early voting. The final number of early voters was 1,713,099. That number, along with some 151,000 absentee ballots accepted as of Sunday morning, puts total turnout so far over 1.8 million, or about 27 percent of the state’s active voters, according to data from the Secretary of State’s office.

The final early and absentee turnout from Athens-Clarke County was 22,114 voters, about 32 percent of the county’s active voters.

In Georgia’s last US Senate runoff, the January 2021 election that saw two runoffs on the ballot and control of the Senate in the balance, nearly 4.5 million Georgians voted.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. To find your voting location, visit the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov.
