Athens-Clarke County is looking for artists for two public art projects slated for the Firefly Trail.
As part of the Rails-to-Trails Network project, the Athens-Clarke County Government has asked artists to submit designs for two installations on the Firefly Trail. Designers can create a sculpture for the Old Winterville Road Trailhead or a functional sculpture for the rest area at the Indian Hills and Winterville Road Intersection. Winning sculptors will work with stakeholders and government staff in creating the project.
