The Athens Area Humane Society is holding a fundraising celebration in honor of the late Betty White, who was known for her lifelong work for animal welfare.
Kelsey Fredriksen is the Communications Manager at the Athens Area Humane Society. She says area residents are invited to tour the facility and all donations go to support a new dog park.
The dog park would assist staff and volunteers in keeping the dogs emotionally, physically, and intellectually engaged; while reducing stress levels.
