In honor of Maternal Health Awareness Day, Walmart and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health have announced a pilot program to expand community support for Black maternal health in Georgia.

Georgia, home to the third largest Black population in the country, is the state with the second highest maternal mortality rate. With Black women 3x more likely than their white counterparts to die from pregnancy or childbirth related issues, Walmart and Johnson & Johnson plan to work alongside Caresource nonprofit to address racial inequities within pregnancy care.

Expecting mothers can register for the pilot today at GeorgiaMamaCare.com.
