AthFest 2023 Seeking Local Bands

AthFest 2023 gets underway in June and organizers want more local bands to participate. Mary Joyce is Executive Director of AthFest Educates, the nonprofit which runs the festival. She says former participants are welcome to submit as well. This year’s festival should see the return of a pre-pandemic favorite, the Club Crawl, in addition to regular attractions including outdoor stages, KidsFest, and the Artist Market.

Alexia Ridley

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
