ACCPD Seeking Help in Identifying Person Believed at Shooting

The Athens Clarke County Police Department is requesting assistance from the public to help identify an individual that has information regarding a shooting incident that occurred in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station located at 1590 Lexington Rd. on December 31, 2022 at approximately 3:45 am.

Police were called to this location due to a report of shots fired in the parking lot. When they arrived, they spoke with several witnesses and located numerous shell casings near the business. A short time later, a 22 YOA female arrived at an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The initial investigation indicates an argument in the parking lot escalated into an individual or individuals discharging a gun which led to the victim receiving their injury. After reviewing video surveillance of the incident, Detectives are asking the public for assistance in identifying the individual shown in the photos.

Detectives know this individual was present and has important information regarding the incident, and speaking to this person would provide a clear understanding of what occurred. If anyone recognizes this individual, they are asked to contact Detective Harrison at 762-400-7361.
