Athens Men Arrested in Drug Trafficking Case

Two Athens men have been arrested in a multi-jurisdictional investigation into drug trafficking. According to a release from Athens-Clarke County Police, 40-year-old Darrell Jackson and 30-year-old Darien Woodrum are charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Fentanyl, and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

Investigators seized seven kilograms of meth, six ounces of fentanyl, and over eight pounds of marijuana. In addition to the ACCPD, the investigation also involved the Northeast Regional Drug Task Force, as well as the Clarke County, Oconee County, and Green County Sheriff’s Offices.
