Governor Brian Kemp holding a media conference Monday afternoon to discuss highlights of his amended FY23 budget. The plan boosts spending by $2.4 billion through June 30, the end of the budget year. He touted tax refunds for Georgia taxpayers.
Kemp is also providing more than 100 million dollars to fund school safety efforts.
The governor also included millions in the budget to support educational opportunities for nurses and paraprofessionals.
Even with the additional spending, it’s possible Georgia could still have more than $5 billion at the end of the year.
