Clarke County residents interested in joining their school’s Local School Governance Team, or LSGT, can now have the chance to do so. The window for parents and teachers to declare their candidacy is now open.
Members will serve a two-year term, from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025. Candidates must complete a Declaration of Candidacy Form which is available online on the district’s website at www.clarke.k12.ga.us. The declaration window is open until April 12.
According to the district's website, LSGT teams work with school leadership and the community to make decisions impacting the school’s direction, help increase student achievement, and act as school ambassadors to the community. In addition, the teams work with school leaders to set goals for the school and develop a plan to achieve them.
