Athens nonprofit the Ark is holding its spring fundraiser this weekend. The 2nd Rock the Ark Concert is aimed at helping support the organization in its effort to assist low-wage earners in Clarke County. Terrill Moore is Program Coordinator at the Ark.
Moore says with many Athens residents recently struggling with rent hikes and displacements, the financial relief provided by the organization is essential. The Ark provides funding to keep people in their homes and to relocate when needed.
The concert takes place at the Marigold Theater Winterville on Friday, March 24th at 8 pm.
