Eviction and Housing event at ACC Public Library

The Athens Housing Advocacy Team is hosting a free informational community event on Friday, May 5th from 12 to 3pm at the Athens-Clarke County Public Library.

Students from the University of Georgia’s Department of Geography will be presenting mapping projects that contain details about the city’s top evictors and areas with the highest eviction rates, as well as the impact of rising housing prices and government assisted interventions like the local Eviction Prevention Program. Following the presentations will be a “Know Your Renter’s Rights” Workshop led by a local tenant’s rights lawyer.

A free lunch from Rashe’s Cuisine will be provided to the first 50 attendees. For more information or if your organization is interested in tabling at the event, email jessicamartinez2016@gmail.com
