Pay increases for employees of the State of Georgia

Full time, benefit-eligible employees of the state of Georgia will see a pay increase of up to $2,000 that’s included in the state’s budget for the 2024 fiscal year.

The pay raises apply to University of Georgia faculty and staff and is effective July 1.

To be eligible for these pay increases, employees must be scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week. Those that work less than 40 hours per week will have the increase prorated by full-time equivalency (FTE).

Employees paid biweekly will see a pay increase reflected on their July 14 paychecks, while employees paid monthly will see these increases in their July 31 paychecks. 9-month faculty will see these increases on August 31.

These pay increases bring UGA’s total cost of living adjustment (COLA) to $7,000 over the past two years.
