On June 21, 2023, around 11:15 p.m., the Athens-Clarke County Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the 100 block of Zebulon Drive.
Officers at the scene found a man who had been shot. The man was later identified as 36-year-old Athens resident Kenton Daniel. Daniel was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police have not identified anyone else involved in the shooting or what led up to the incident at this time. Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons involved in the shooting.
