Construction materials manufacturer Duckshin Housing will build its first U.S. facility in Athens-Clarke County, according to a statement from Governor Brian Kemp’s office.

Kemp says the facility will create over 100 jobs and a $15 million investment in the county.

“Since 2019, we have announced more than 3,400 new jobs and $903 million in investments in Athens-Clarke County, thanks to the dedication of our local partners and hardworking economic developers,” said Governor Brian Kemp. “We're proud to welcome Duckshin Housing as the latest job creator in this growing list as we continue to bring opportunity to all parts of the state.”

Construction is set to begin later this year on Olympic Drive at Athena Industrial Park. The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, and produces architectural deck plates for construction companies made out of galvanized steel and rebar.

When the company starts their hiring process, positions will include welders, machine operators and forklift drivers. Advanced manufacturing is one of Georgia’s leading industries.
