Clarke County’s interim Clerk of Court says she’s running for the post in November.
Elisa Zarate was appointed interim clerk after longtime Clerk of Court Beverly Logan retired earlier this year.
Zarate has worked in the county’s court system for over a decade. She joins Andrew Griffeth in the race for court clerk. A special election for the job is scheduled for November 7.
