Two national organizations are working together to battle Alzheimer’s in the Latino community. The Ad Council and the Alzheimer’s Association recently launched a new campaign aimed at helping increase early detection of the disease. Heidi Arthur is Chief Campaign Development Officer with the Ad Council. She discussed the new campaign with WUGA.

She says early detection is crucial to slowing advancement, since the approved treatments are often only effective in the early stages of the disease.
Early signs include memory loss that disrupts daily life, difficulty completing familiar tasks, and confusion with time or place.
