Athens-Clarke County commissioners have unanimously voted to accept a new report with proposals to deal with homelessness. At that same meeting, lawmakers moved ahead with plans to shutter the county’s sanctioned homeless encampment and passed a plan to address the affordable housing crunch. WUGA’s Alexia Ridley sat down with Mayor Kelly Girtz.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio.
