Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Athens on Saturday night that resulted in two gunshot victims with serious injuries.
Police heard multiple gunshots around 2:00 a.m. on October 29th at the intersection of West Clayton and Hull Street coming from a brawl in the roadway. ACCPD officers broke up the fight and located two gunshot victims with wounds to their torsos. EMS transported the victims and both are expected to survive their injuries.
