The Athens-Clarke County Police Department responded to a shots fired call on Spring Valley Road on Nov. 5 at 11:15 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his right arm.
The teenager said he was walking near the complex’s mailboxes and office building when unidentified males shot him. EMS transported the 16-year-old to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening wound.
The ACCPD collected multiple shell casings found around the mailboxes as evidence and later determined that a white Honda Civic was seen leaving the complex at the time of the incident. While the incident is under investigation, the ACCPD asks anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact Sgt. Scott Black at scott.black@accgov.com or (762) 400-7058
