UGA proudly supports Ethics Awareness Week

The University of Georgia is a proud participant in the University System of Georgia’s efforts to further promote and celebrate our ethical culture. Ethics Awareness Week begins today and runs through Nov. 12, 2023.

The activities planned for this week are as follows:

USG will host a virtual presentation event, “The Color of Money” on November 7, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Anyone can attend; however, the target audience is institutional finance leadership and staff, including those managing budgets, and our provosts and academic affairs faculty and staff. The UGA Philosophy Dept will conduct a Screening and Panel discussion focused on the film, I Am Greta on November 7, 2023, at 7:00 pm in the Fine Arts Balcony Theater (Rm 400).

The USG Chancellor’s Event is on November 8, 2023. The “Ethical Considerations for a Data Driven Landscape,” will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Click on the link provided to join in on the discussion. JOIN LIVE

USG will host a virtual Ethics & Compliance Best Practices in Higher Education panel discussion on “Promoting an Ethical Culture in Challenging Times” on November 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Click on the link provided to register for the panel discussion. REGISTER NOW

The UGA Ethics Team will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the University of North Georgia – Gainesville.

Later in the month, the Philosophy Department will be holding a Mini Ethics Bowl on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Peabody Hall.
