After a spike in cases of Respiratory Syncytial Virus, or RSV, last fall, the American Lung Association recently launched a campaign recommending a new vaccine. Dr. Juanita Mora is an immunologist and spokesperson with the American Lung Association. She that by age two, 100% of children will have gotten RSV.
She says the CDC recommends the vaccine for infants and toddlers.
RSV can resemble a regular cold, but Mora says more serious symptoms such as trouble breathing, should mean a trip to the emergency room.
