The National Council for Mental Wellbeing, is partnering with Shatterbox and the Ad Council in launching a new campaign to reach those communities. The “Start With Hope” campaign highlights paths to recovery by providing resources and stories of hope.

She says the rates of substance use disorder affect Black and Latin populations at rates similar to that of whites, but overdose rates are up 55% for Blacks aged 25-44 from 2019 to 2020, and up 21% for Hispanics. but the lack of access often leads to worse consequences.
