Wayne Ford via Online Athens

The second reported road rage incident in the Athens area this month, where the honk of a horn angered a motorist to the point he punched and knocked out a man at a store on Boulevard near Chase Street in Athens. Police say the assault was caught on video outside the Biscuit Basket.

When the officer arrived, he noted the victim had a cut on his neck and was bleeding profusely from the mouth with a possible fractured jaw. On December 2nd, a man from Texas reported to police that someone pulled a gun on him after he honked at a motorist who he thought was driving too close on Lexington Road. Police are looking for suspects in both incidents.
