UGA Honored with Three Recipients of Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship

UGA Celebrates Historic Achievement: Three Students Awarded Prestigious Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship for 2023. The Fellowship, funded by the U.S. Department of State, propels outstanding graduates toward careers in the Foreign Service. Recipients, Clemencia El Antouri, Feben Teshome, and Fardosa Hassan, showcase commitment to international cooperation and leadership.

The program, established in 1992, has now produced a total of five UGA Pickering Fellows. The Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for positive global impact through a five-year commitment to the Foreign Service after completing a two-year master’s degree. Each fellowship, providing up to $42,000 annually, covers tuition, room, board, books, and fees. The recipients, representing diverse academic backgrounds, express excitement about their roles in addressing global challenges at the intersection of security, development, and diplomacy.
