Georgia Governor Brian Kemp was joined by First Lady Marty Kemp, and members of the General Assembly, along with faith and community leaders Wednesday afternoon as he signed HB 30 into law. The measure defines antisemitism and provides state agencies with guidance in targeting acts of antisemitism.
Kemp referenced a similar measure he signed after the death of Ahmad Aubrey.
The bill was sponsored by Representatives John Carson and Esther Panitch. President Pro Tem John Kennedy and Minority Leader Gloria Butler moved the measure through the Senate.
