The University of Georgia will sell beer at Sanford Stadium starting this fall, following SEC venues

GeorgiaDogs.com

The AJC reports the University of Georgia will sell beer at Sanford Stadium starting this fall. The announcement came from Athletic Director Josh Brooks at the end of his report to the Athletic Association’s board of directors meeting Wednesday.

Georgia will apparently follow the lead of other SEC venues where sales shut down at the end of the third quarter… with a maximum of two purchases per individual. Georgia is the last of the 14 SEC schools to introduce beer sales at their football games, following Auburn, which approved it earlier this year.

Brooks was not ready to provide many details including price and size but added that alcohol sales would be limited to beer and seltzers.
