A Democratic candidate has joined the race for the District 46 Georgia State Senate seat.
Social worker and entrepreneur Gareth Fenley lives in Walton County and announced her campaign this week. She is the only candidate in the race’s Democratic Primary this upcoming May.
Finley owns Seven Points LLC, a resource that helps prepare candidates for the social work licensing exam.
She is expected to run in the November general election against Republican incumbent Bill Cowsert, who has held the seat since 2007.
District 46 includes parts of Clarke, Oconee, Walton, Barrow and Gwinnett counties.
