The Ark United Ministry Outreach Center in Athens is holding its 10th Annual Adopt-a-Mom fundraiser. The event honors single, working moms which have been served by the Ark over the past year, as well as women in area nursing homes.

The Ark assists area families when they experience a temporary loss of income, or unexpected expense.

While flowers will be delivered Thursday, May 9, 2024, the facility is accepting donations for the single working mothers fund through the month of May.

Terrell Moore is Program Coordinator at the nonprofit. She says participants can adopt-a-mom with a $25 donation.

The Ark assists families in Clarke, Madison, Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties. Visit Athens Ark for more information or to donate.
