May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and a recent study shows that young people in the nation are struggling. A national campaign, Sound it Out Together, is aimed at providing parents and caregivers with the support needed to assist children.
Dr. Charmain Jackman says the campaign provides a step-by-step process to guide parents in their efforts to help children identify and articulate what they’re feeling. It also helps them develop coping skills.
Experts say middle school is a particularly trying time for students, but guidance is offered for all ages. Visit Sound it Out Together for more information.
