Public health advocates are urging federal and state leaders to start preparing now for future emergencies. Trust for America’s health, or TFAH recently released its annual report “Ready or Not: Protecting the Public’s Health from Diseases, Disasters and Bioterrorism.” The report has tracked the nation’s level of public health emergency preparedness since 2003. Dr. Raj Panjabi is a member of the Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense.
He says the risk to the nation is growing.
