The Athens-Clarke County Courthouse at 325 East Washington Street will resume regular operations on Wednesday, July 31 at 8:00 AM following additional bed bug treatments in some areas.
While recent inspections on July 30 found no bed bug activity on any floor, Municipal Court and the Law Library will remain closed until Monday, August 5 at 8:00 AM as a precaution after further treatments.
All other courts, excluding Municipal Court, will reopen as scheduled on July 31. Those with court dates between July 22 and 31 will be notified of their rescheduled court dates via mail.
Cancellations of jury trials and Municipal Court hearings will be updated on the ACCGov website (accgov.com/courts) and the Municipal Court website (accgov.com/municipalcourt), as well as through the notification service. For rescheduling or contact updates, individuals may also reach out directly to the relevant court.
