The county is hosting a Q&A from 5-7 p.m. at the Police Department on Lexington Road about the estimated $8 million project.

Funding for improvements comes from a one percent sales tax that the county uses to fund transportation projects. On Lexington Road, the county is considering adding additional sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and safety improvements to the corridor and connecting streets.

One thing the project does not include is the ongoing work at the intersection of Loop 10 / Lexington Road / Barnett Shoals, which is a project from the Georgia Department of Transportation, not funded or managed by the county.
