Town & Gown Players take on Pride and Prejudice this month

It is a truth universally acknowledged that radio listeners in possession of a free evening make excellent theatre-goers.

Romance and Regency-era manners will abound on the stage of Town and Gown Players this month as they produce an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

To learn more about their production, WUGA’s Alexia Ridley spoke with the play’s director, Christine Carpenter.

Athenians can attend the play on August 10th and 11th, as well as the 15th through the 18th.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
