Voters in Athens-Clarke County can apply for an absentee ballot for this November’s election starting Monday.

Though many people have returned to voting in person, absentee ballots are still available. The application process for absentee voting in the November 2024 election begins on Monday, August 19th. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is eleven days before the election, October 26th.

Absentee ballot applications can be mailed, emailed, or dropped off in person to the elections office.

It is not necessary to provide a reason for voting by absentee ballot. Georgians must provide one form of identification, such as a passport or driver’s license number, to apply.
