Georgia has played a decisive role in recent elections as a swing state. This election, President Donald Trump won Georgia, capturing all sixteen of its Electoral College votes. Dr. Audrey Haynes is an Associate Professor of Political Science and a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor with the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia.
