Historic Athens Seeking Nominations for the 2024 Athens Places in Peril list.

Historic Athens is seeking nominations for the 2024 Athens Places in Peril list. The nonprofit is asking members of the community for their input by Tuesday at 5 pm, December 17th. Organizers are putting together a list of historic homes, buildings, structures, cultural landscapes, or cemeteries in the Athens-Clarke County area that are at risk of being demolished or lost.

Since its founding in 2019, the Athens Places in Peril initiative has encouraged grassroots preservation efforts.
