The Athens Regional Library has a new executive director.
The system’s board of trustees announced the appointment of Beth McIntyre during the January 16th meeting.
McIntyre has 34 years of experience and has been the executive director of the Piedmont Regional Library System since 2011. She will officially assume her new role on March 17th. McIntyre’s predecessor, Valerie Bell, retired on December 31st after serving as executive director for 10 years.
The Athens Regional Library System consists of 11 branches in five counties.
