Monday, February 3rd, begins Severe Weather Preparedness Week across Georgia, dedicated to educating the state’s residents about the dangers of floods, tornadoes and other potential weather disasters.

Adam Fouche, executive director of the University of Georgia’s Office of Emergency Preparedness, talks with WUGA’s Greg Trevor about what we can do to protect ourselves from severe weather.

It’s the latest episode of our series, “A Few Minutes With …” exploring UGA initiatives and their benefits to the state of Georgia and beyond.

As part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week, the state is scheduled to conduct an emergency tornado drill on Wednesday, February 5th. You can participate in that drill by signing up for the UGA Safe app at prepare.uga.edu/uga-safe.
