Indivisible GA District 10 is holding a Town Hall and community meeting on Tuesday. The organization invited Representative Mike Collins to attend.
Barbara Burt is with the organization. She says the meeting is to address concerns in the district.
“There were some many questions about all of the new things that have been happening in Washington,” according to Burt. “Many of which have an effect on Georgia and District GA 10, and families, people who work here.”
Burt says the Congressman’s office said he would not be able to attend, but the group plans to get their questions to his office.
“Even if he wasn’t available to meet with us, and answer questions, we were going to get together and pose the questions and then we’ll make sure that they get to him afterward.”
She said the meeting would provide a chance for constituents to meet and discuss issues important to them.
“And it’s also a chance just for the community to get together and share some of their concerns. There’s a very heightened sense of anxiety in a lot of people in this part of Georgia, and I think probably across the country as a matter of fact.”
WUGA reached out to Representative Collins office for comment, but did not receive a response regarding the Town Hall as of news time.
