Pedestrians and cyclists will have to avoid the the East Campus Connector Bridge for the next several weeks.
The East Campus Connector Bridge is temporarily closing, starting Monday, August 11. According to a media release from the Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department, maintenance on the bridge is expected to take six to eight weeks to complete.
The Greenway will still be open for Oak/Oconee Street to the North Oconee River and along the river to the south. The East Campus Connector Bridge is a 235-foot bridge spanning the Oconee River and connects the Greenway Trail System and the University of Georgia campus.
