ACCGov Services & Facilities Schedule Changes for Christmas Holidays

Athens-Clarke County Government services and facilities will have limited hours over the remainder of the holiday week.

All general departmental administrative offices and facilities (City Hall, Courthouse, Satula Avenue Building, Dougherty Street Governmental Building) will be closed on Wed., Dec. 24 and Thurs., Dec. 25, resuming regular hours of operation on Fri., Dec. 26.

Residential and commercial Solid Waste customers (outside the Downtown district) garbage and recycling services will be suspended on Wed., Dec. 24 and Thurs., Dec. 25. Residential and commercial (inside the Downtown district) garbage, recycling, and composting services will be suspended on Thurs., Dec. 25. Regular collection resumes on Fri., Dec. 26.

Parks and leisure services, and animal services, including field services and the adoption center will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, and resume operation on Fri., Dec 26. There will be no transit service on Wed., Dec. 24 and Thurs., Dec. 25. Regular transit service resumes Fri., Dec. 26.

Emergency services will be provided throughout the holidays by calling 911.
