ACC Water Conservation Offices Wins EPA Award

The Athens-Clarke County Water Conservation Office has been awarded the Environmental Protection Agency’s Sustained Excellence Award for its contributions to WaterSense and water efficiency. The department was recognized for helping consumers to save water, energy, and money. The ACC office is the first utility to win the award.

Previous winners included Home Depot, Kohler, and Lowes. WaterSense, a partnership program sponsored by the EPA, seeks to protect the future of our nation's water supply by offering consumers and businesses simple ways to use less water with water-efficient products, homes, and services.
