Tax allocation districts, or TADs, are redevelopment tools that work by increasing taxes within an area to fund improvements for that same area. District Two Commissioner Mariah Parker said the Mayor and Commission are hoping to stimulate economic development by improving "connectivity with regards to pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure." Georgians to Vote Again in Upcoming Runoff Elections By Jeanne Davis • Nov 10, 2020 WDEF Georgians will have the opportunity to vote two more times in this election cycle, as many state and local races went into a runoff, as well as the two US Senate seats. Georgians will decide who controls the US Senate on January 5th, when both Senate races compete in a runoff. Republican incumbent David Perdue will face Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff for one senate seat, and Republican incumbent Kelly Loeffler will face Democratic challenger Raphael Warnock in the other.
