Athens StoryCorps: Kathy Caslellion and Heather Chrisopherson

When Heather Christopherson married Kathy Castellion’s youngest son, she was amazed by Kathy’s resilience though difficult circumstances. In this story, Kathy tells Heather what it was like raising her five children and the sacrifices she made to give them the best childhood she could. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded locally at the StoryCorps mobile booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library in the fall of 2018. StoryCorps is part of a national initiative to record and preserve the stories of everyday people.
