Georgia Cases of COVID-19 Near 1,400

Latest numbers for COVID-19 in Georgia according to the Georgia Public Health Department. There 1,387 cases confirmed cases. 438 people are hospitalized and there have been 47 deaths. Fulton County has 204 cases, followed by DeKalb at 125, Dougherty at 123, Cobb County has 109. Athens-Clarke has 21 cases, Oconee six, Barrow and Madison have two each, and Jackson County has one case.

50% of those with the disease are female while 48% are male and 2% unknown. The breakdown according to age shows 60% of the cases are in people 18 to 59, 36% in those 60 and older, with three percent ages are not known, just one percent involves those 17 and younger.

The GPH lab has conducted 1,482 tests and found 215 positives, while commercial labs have test 4,697 people and found 1,172 positive cases.
