Music from High Cotton presents live, in-concert recordings from notable blues, Americana and rock and roll musicians.  The shows are recorded by WUGA at High Cotton Music Hall on historic Depot Street in Hartwell, Georgia. On this episode, an Australian singer with family ties to northeast Georgia, jazz/blues vocalist Jessie Gordon. Her main musical passions are jazz, blues, gospel and roots music. Jessie has toured the world, performing in South East Asia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the UK. After a tour in Europe and a performance earlier in the week in New York City, she came to the stage of High Cotton Music Hall in Hartwell, Georgia.  Jessie was joined onstage by musicians Marshall Walker, Bobby Bonds, Daniel and Paige Gordon.

The Selwyn Birchwood Band had just returned from a tour in Russia when they took the stage at High Cotton Music Hall. Selwyn's appearance on Music from High Cotton is courtesy of Alligator Records. The Selwyn Birchwood Band has been touring non-stop and has performed in France, Poland, the Netherlands, Canada, Spain, Switzerland and many more countries. Now we’re thrilled to bring him to High Cotton and to WUGA listeners.
