Anti-vaccination sentiments have a surprisingly large footprint on social media. Dr. Karen Hilyard from the College of Public Health wants to use this massive amount of data in order to understand why people choose not to vaccinate, despite the risk. Comparing twitter data to survey research, she can potentially unlock an agile source of information for public health officials.
