Elegant Salute and Rock Me Amadeus Dance Party

The museum will hold Elegant Salute, its biggest fundraiser, on February 1. This year’s event, Baroque and Beyond, celebrates the opening of the exhibition “Beyond the Medici: The Haukohl Family Collection” and will benefit student programs at the museum.

The event’s goal is to raise one hundred fifty thousand dollars for student programs. “There’s nothing better than a party with a purpose, and this iteration of Elegant Salute has a truly wonderful purpose: raising funds to support student learning at the museum,” said David Odo, the museum’s director. “Our mission to ensure that art is a critical part of every student’s experience at Georgia is our greatest responsibility. I’m so grateful to all our supporters who help make this work possible.”

Unlike the last Elegant Salute, this one will feature the opportunity to buy individual tickets, which are not exclusive to sponsorships. Tickets are four hundred dollars per person for Friend and Annual Fund Members and four hundred fifty dollars for all others. Tickets include the Rock Me Amadeus dance party with DJ Mahogany, which begins at 9 p.m., and includes dessert and libations as well as dancing. Tickets to the dance party are available separately for seventy-five dollars per person for Friend and Annual Fund Members; ninety-five dollars per person for others; and eighty-five dollars per person at the group rate (6 or more tickets purchased at the same time online).
