The Clarke County School District (CCSD) reported significant progress in College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) metrics for the 2023-24 school year, per data from the Georgia Department of Education. Gains were noted in content mastery, closing achievement gaps, and postsecondary readiness, with 13 of CCSD’s 21 schools improving their overall scores.
Highlights include a 16.5-point increase at Barnett Shoals Elementary and nearly 19 points at Clarke Middle School. The district’s graduation rate also rose to 80.4%, up 3.4 points, driven by improvements across various demographics.
However, middle schools remain the district's lowest-scoring level, and high school scores fell despite graduation gains. Superintendent Dr. Robbie Hooker praised the progress but emphasized ongoing efforts to address disparities and improve outcomes across all grade levels. Full data is available online.
