Jon Ossof is setting a new record for fundraising in Georgia. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Democrat raised $15.3 million in the last two months. He has now raised $23 million in his quest to gain Georgia's 6th Congressional District. No word yet on how much of the money came from out-of-state, but his recent report showed only about 1 in 20 contributions were from Georgia residents.
Republican Karen Handel has not yet reported her fundraising totals. Handel has also received millions from outside donors. The race for the seat has cost more than $40 million, and is the most expensive U.S. house election in history. The runoff is June 20th.
